Back from the NE

Back home to humidity, noise, pollution and hard water. Less midges though! The funeral went very well apart from an initial hiccup which was that the funeral cars kept driving past the house, looking for a bigger road on the left.

Ralph had plenty of trips to the beech, we went to Tynemouth, Bamburgh and Newbiggin by the sea. He also had two splendid outings in the river Derwent -he loves water. He also thinks that the Lord Crewe Arms, belongs to him! Luckily everyone there is used to him, in fact when he went missing it turned out he’d been having some crisps in the bar.

So, we’re back at home and it feels strange, I alternate between thinking that I must do stuff to realising I can take my time and do whatever I like!

  1. Firstly, belated condolences to you and your family.

Does sound like Ralph really enjoyed himself. And was it only crisps he was having at the bar? 😉

I was going to ask how retirement was suiting you, but you really haven’t had time to get used to it yet.

    Take care.

    – Neil.

  2. That’s nice of you, enjoying it so far but as you say haven’t had time for it to sink in yet. Love to you and N and cats
